SUNfarming optimizes existing EUR 25m revolving bridge facility.

Frankfurt am Main, 26.08.2020

SUNfarming Group from Erkner has redesigned its exisiting revolving bridge facility originally meant to finance the construction of polish free-field PV CfD projects only. Put into new shape the facility will now also include German projects below 750 kWp and projects in Poland still in the development phase. Consulting firm Capcora accompanied the process as financial advisor.

The revolving facility with a term until September 2022 was set up with a private debt fund at the end of 2019. 31.4 MW of Polish solar projects have already been financed and built with the funds. With the extension of the contract, the financing portfolio will be expanded to include almost 10 MWp of ready-to-build EEG projects in Germany and a portfolio of 16 MW of greenfield projects that will secure a tariff at one of the next Polish auctions.

“The problem that banks avoid to finance small-scale projects in Poland as well as in Germany during construction or the preparation of such financing takes more time than needed is exacerbated in the current Corona crisis. For this reason, we are proud that we were once again able to assist SUNfarming in optimizing your financing strategy ”, explains Alexander Kuhn, Managing Partner at Capcora.
