Debt Advisory Vice President (f/m/d)
We are expanding our Debt Advisory team and are seeking an execution-driven Vice President with a strong background in project finance, infrastructure debt or debt advisory.
Role Description
This role suits professionals coming from banks, debt funds, or specialised advisory firms with hands-on experience in structuring and executing financing transactions in the renewables and infrastructure space.
You will play a leading role in the execution of debt advisory mandates, working directly with Directors and Managing Partners. The focus is on structuring, managing and closing financing transactions, with a particular emphasis on large and complex financings (typically EUR 50m+).
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of debt advisory mandates with a focus on mid- to large-cap transactions (EUR 50m+)
- Drive and shape financing structures (senior, holdco, mezzanine, bridge) in close interaction with clients and lenders
- Lead lender interactions and financing processes, including structuring discussions, market approach and competitive positioning
- Contribute to defining lender strategy and positioning the transaction towards the market
- Take ownership of transaction workstreams and ensure efficient progression from structuring through to financial close
- Steer due diligence and information processes from a transaction and lender perspective
- Play a key role in negotiations with lenders and contribute to achieving bankable, optimised outcomes
- Act as a senior interface between client, lenders and advisers, ensuring alignment across all parties
- Guide and mentor junior team members, ensuring high-quality and client-ready deliverables
Profile
- ~5–8 years’ relevant experience in project finance / infrastructure finance, debt funds / credit investing, or debt advisory / infrastructure advisory, with exposure to origination, structuring or risk roles and a strong track record in project and corporate financing transactions, ideally including structured or holdco financing
- Experience in financing processes and interaction with lenders, either from an advisory or lending perspective
- Good understanding of financing structures and key credit considerations
- Strong financial modelling capabilities in corporate and project finance, with the ability to review, guide and challenge models, analyses and key assumptions
- Structured, hands-on and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and drive transactions forward
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with confidence in working with clients, lenders and external advisers
- Proactive, self-driven and target-oriented mindset, with the ability and ambition to take ownership and contribute to driving transactions forward
- Fluent in German and English
