ENVIRIA raises further capital of EUR 13.5 million to finance ongoing expansion of own solar rooftop portfolio.

Frankfurt am Main, 19.04.2021

Renewable energy specialist ENVIRIA secures new bridge financing commitments from two different debt funds with the help of Capcora. The signed agreements encompass a revolving bridge financing facility for the development of new solar rooftop plants in Germany, and a project-based acquisition financing for the further expansion of ENVIRIA’s solar asset portfolio.

All new projects will achieve EEG commissioning in the short term and thus benefit from a fixed feed-in tariff over 20 years. The new financing, which was raised at the level of a newly established holding company, has a term until the end of 2021 including an extension option and can be used on a revolving basis to finance the development of rooftop PV plants.

"We are pleased with the confidence both our financing partners placed in us by significantly expanding their commitment to our business. In our niche sector for B2B rooftop systems, which is subject to constant change, viable and tailored financing solutions are of significant importance and we are very grateful for Capcora's support with regard to this," says Melchior Schulze Brock, founder and CEO of the ENVIRIA Group.

ENVIRIA is one of the fastest-growing companies in the roof-mounted solar market, providing scalable Energy-as-a-Service solutions and innovative solar-centric projects. ENVIRIA is facilitating a renewable energy ecosystem, with the aim to boost B2B participation in the clean energy transition, and empower the democratization of power generation by becoming a disruptive and decentralized utility in its own right. Projects are structured and built based on EPC expertise and financial engineering concepts designed for the unique needs of the B2B sector, where our knowledge and network leverage the strengths of each party involved. Through innovative solutions such as third-party financing models or smart matches between space availability and solar investments, entire segments previously excluded can now actively participate in and benefit from the energy transition.
